 Division:  Rhodophyta

 

 Class: Florideophyceae

 

 Identification:   Dark red algae often densely branched, not firm to the touch or brittle like the red corraline algaes.  The one main branch of this algae has multiple off shoots which are often densely packed with multiple tips giving rise to more off shoots.

 Common Name:  ?

 Division:  Phaeophyta

 

 Class: Florideophyceae
