CORPORATE OPEN WATER DIVER DISCOUNTS

Cal Coast Scuba Instruction, INC is happy to announce our Corporate Open Water Diver course just in time for summer.  If you are a member of a corporation in Southern California we have developed a program that will allow you to tailor make a schedule around your busy schedule.  Our open water courses may be completed in as little as five days.  We offer several group packages, and option for completing the course.  As always we limit the maximum group size for the course to six which allows you plenty of one on one time with your current PADI instructor.  Should you have any questions that this web page is not able to answer for you, please e-mail us at info@calcoastdivers.com for more information on this, or any other course(s) that interests you!

HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5         

1)  Contact a Cal Coast Scuba Instruction, INC salesperson via e-mail at info@calcoastdivers.com or by phone at 805.559.6021 and inform them of your interest.

2)  Pick the package that best reflects your interests from our choices below.

3)  Complete the fun and interactive PADI Open Water CD-Rom (up to five people may use the cd-rom).

4)  Contact us again with the promotional ID number included with your cd-rom package and schedule class and pool time.

5)  Complete your class, pool, and ocean sessions to earn your PADI Open Water Diver certification!

THE BENEFITS

For those with busy and irregular schedules completing a scuba course that regularly meets at a specified time can be impossible.  As such we offer the 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 5 step course.  After two years of teaching courses in this manner we find having the flexibility to cover the material at your own pace, and around your schedule offers the flexibility people need to really absorb the material and have fun with it!  We find some people are able to complete the material in the first three days of the week, and by the end of the following week they have fulfilled all of the prerequisites for certification.  We have also found another type of schedule where one day out of the week may be productive and over several weeks the first three steps of the plan are complete.  If these scenarios sound familiar to you, then we have the program to suit your needs!  In addition to flexible scheduling, there are other additional benefits:

• Smaller class sizes!  Imagine taking a course that you thought only had two people in it when you signed up, and you enter the room to find ten people are now signed up for the course!  Surprise!  At the time you sign up for the course you will know how many people are in the course, so there will not be any surprises when you begin lecture!  We also limit class size to no more than six students to provide you with the most quality one on one time possible.

• Peace of mind!  As with all of our Open Water courses we offer our students free DAN insurance in the unlikely event you are involved in a diving accident.  Although we have never had a student need this insurance it does offer a large piece of mind if you even suspect a diving related injury.

• Your own counselor!  Lots of assistance while you study the materials.  As you make your way through the PADI Open Water Multimedia we offer lots of assistance should you have any questions while completing the material.  In a way we provide a knowledgeable tutor with every cd-rom package to help you master the topics before you get to class!

• More practice time!  Our lecture times are usually much shorter than other lecture times, and as such we like to use the time we save on lecture to spend more time diving!  During your presentations, directed by a certified PADI instructor, you will be given lots of interesting and useful information about diving in our local environment, lots of tips for purchasing your own scuba equipment, and information on future dive trips and classes we offer!

• Diving after the course is done!  Nearly every week throughout the year we offer discover local diving courses that will allow you to explore new dive spots in Southern California at a minimal cost to you.  Most trips are free if you have your own equipment, or only $65.00 US dollars if you need to rent your gear.  We also offer a free complimentary scuba tune-up within the first 6 months of your certification should you have a tough time making time to get back in the water!

WHO IS ELIGIBLE

Our programs are available to small and large business and corporations with more than ten employees; of which at least two employees must enroll at the same time.  To enroll in the course you will need proof of employment in the form of a pay check stub, and an agreement between Cal Coast Scuba Instruction, INC and your place of employment to release your place of work from liability.  Immediate employee family members age ten and older are also eligible under the corporate discount program.

THE OPEN WATER CERTIFICATION COURSE

The Open Water certification course certifies a diver to complete dives down to sixty feet of water.  The certification also allows dives to obtain air fills, book boat dives, and purchase scuba equipment.  This course is the entry level course and serves to provide a basic understanding of diving, as well as begins development of the fundamental skills required to be an exceptional diver.

The PADI Open Water Certification requires the completion of 5 class modules, 5 pool modules, and 4 ocean dives as well as an optional skin dive.  We offer MANY options on where and how you will complete the course to reflect your interests in diving!  If you are simply interested in completing the course we have several options for you!  If underwater photography and marine ecology is more your preference we also have dives to suite those interests as well.  All options will have the same scheduling flexibility with an authority on Southern California diving guiding you through your exciting journey.

For most open water courses you will be required to purchase a mask, SCUBA fins, snorkel, dive booties, and gloves.  We offer the personal gear package for one hundred twenty-five dollars which will give you a chance to try gear out to give you a better idea of what will work for you underwater and what will not!  It is strongly recommended for your convenience, safety, and comfort you also purchase a dive gear bag, a dive whistle, a dive slate, and dive clips for your octopus and computer.  If you decide to purchase your gear or not we will still provide you with tips and advice on picking up your own gear throughout the class!
