THE ADVANCED OPEN WATER DIVER CERTIFICATION COURSE

The PADI Advanced Open Water Certification requires the completion of 5 dives.  As part of the five dives you must complete at least one navigation dive and one deep dive prior to becoming certified as an Advanced Diver.    We offer three different Advanced Diver courses to help you gain familiarity with your local dive sites or explore new ones knowing you are with a trained professional who has explored the site before!

*Are you working towards a degree?  Our courses are transferable to most institutions for college credit!  E-mail us at info@calcoastdivers.com for more information!*

About the Courses

The grand total for the course will vary depending on which course style you choose.  All courses are offered on a monthly payment plan and may cost you as little as 40 dollars a month and as little as four days to complete your certification course!  Each class will have an optional, but highly recommended, field trip where a lecture on personal gear will be given.  At that time each student will have an opportunity to consult with their instructor in order to ensure every student gets the gear that is right for them!

Each course has been designed to explore some of the better dive locations in the area as well introduce you to some of the ecology typical to that location.  We begin each course with an orientation to review a few key points about the course.  Each Advanced course includes a free refresher course where you will be given an opportunity to brush up and hone your dive skills.  You should notice there are no class lectures per se.  This is one of the few courses offered that is largely based on diving a lone!  This course feels less like a class and more like a vacation!  Once you have completed your course you will be able to dive to a depth of 100 feet/30 meters and will receive the Advanced Open Water Diver Certification.
