DISCOVER LOCAL DIVING COURSE

        You are certified!  It is a great feeling but now what!?  If you find yourself in one of the three

following categories why not give us a call?

1)      I always want to go diving but have a hard time finding someone to dive with.

2)      I am certified but want to dive at a location I have never been before.

3)      I am certified but not completely confident in my skills and would feel more comfortable diving with a

         trained professional.

        The crew here at Cal Coast SCUBA Instruction are trained professionals with extensive diving experience from as far south as San Diego, to as far north as Goleta!  We supply any rental gear you may not already own and bring it for you to the dive location.  Our certified instructors and dive masters will give you a dive briefing on location and take you on two dives to show you some of the more attractive locations at the spot.  Our lectures take a similar format to the dive locations you find on our web site in the dive locations link.  Topics we cover include tips on entries and exits, tips on navigating the dive site, as well as what you will see and what to look out for when diving the spot. 

        Dive locations available for tours are presently limited to San Diego County, Orange County, Los Angeles County, Ventura County, and Santa Barbara County.  We do offer specials for groups of four or more and can arrange to have a photographer present with you on the dive to capture all of your underwater memories on film!  Please contact us for more information!

  Description of Course Fees:

Tuition: $65.00                                                   *Rentals are included at no extra charge!

 What do I need to get started?

1)  Junior Open Water Diver / Open Water Diver or equivalent

 What equipment is needed?

1)  mask                       2)  fins              3) snorkel

4)  booties                    5) gloves

 Recommended Gear:

1)  save a dive kit        2)  fish ID slate  3)  clips for your gear

4)  slate to write on     5)  tarp to place your gear on  6)  5 gallon bucket of fresh water

7)  dry bag

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

*The tentative dates for this course are flexible and will be arranged to suit your schedule.  This is only a tentative schedule for your reference when making arrangements with us to dive.  We also offer Discover Local Diving on Catalina Island at Casino Point.  With sufficient preparation time we can get you diving and count some of those dives towards your Advanced Open Water Certification or Specialties!  Please contact us at info@calcoastdivers.com and one of our friendly and knowledgeable staff will be sure respond to you within 24 hours!

  Orientation – On orientation night we will discuss the topics that we will cover in the course as well as go over tips on how to select your gear for this course.  You will need to purchase all of your required gear before the weekend events begin.  Please note all fees are due on this date as well as your filled out medical form. 

Beach – During this time a briefing of the site will be given and a small information packet on the dive spot will be given to you at this time for your future reference.
